M & M Fractions

Yesterday we did M & M fractions with Miss Oberste. First we each got a small packet of M & M's. Then we sorted them into colors. We graphed them, then made fractions such as, however many of one color over however many M & M's you have. We traded results with a partner. I think it helped us because we had a visual. Afterward, we got to eat our M & M's. It was very fun.

Board Game!

Last week Miss Oberste taught us how to play a game. You had to have a board and a tile and this is how you play. You play on the board and you do numbers like 1,2,5,10,0. If you get the answer right you get to slide the tile and try to get it on a number besides zero. But if it falls off, it is a negative two. It was really, really fun!

Ms. Iten's Eggs!

Ms. Iten’s third grade class is taking care of chick eggs! We got the eggs on Wednesday, April 1st. We candled them and saw nothing, that’s because the embryos haven’t started developing. We will candle them again next week.

We just candled them and we saw something. “There’s a crack!” Never mind, Ms. Iten says it just dirt. The chicks should hatch soon. I have to wrap it up, so bye!
